Your initial visit will consist of a comprehensive cleaning and oral examination. We will screen for decay, gum disease, oral cancer, TMJ and problems with your bite. We can also address any cosmetic concerns you may have to enhance your smile.

Your Child's first visit:

Going to the dentist for the first time can be an overwhelming experience for a child. We do our best to see to it that each child feels comfortable and enjoys their first visit in our office. We have a playroom that serves as a waiting room for our young patients. They are free to play with the toys or watch a movie while they wait to be seen.

Once in the dental chair children are given sunglasses to wear to protect their eyes from "Mr. Sunshine"(the light). We put them at ease while we "Count" (clean) their teeth. They are able to hold "Mr. Thirsty" (the suction) and use him at their leisure. We have a wide variety of toothpaste and fluoride flavors to include, orange, berry, grape, mint, cinnamon and even cookie dough.

Once the cleaning has been completed, successfully, we always give them a balloon.

All in all, we find that most children enjoy their visit and are looking forward to coming back in 6 months!

All instruments are cleaned, disinfected, and sterilized as recommended by the American Dental Association and the Centers for Disease Control. Whenever possible, disposable single use items are used to ensure your safety. Handpieces (drills) are sterilized with a state-of-the-art sterilization unit specifically designed for this purpose. All surfaces in the treatment rooms are cleaned and disinfected after each patient.
